This presentation is meant to give insight into the direction for Facebook's battery backup unit (BBU) design to be used in Open Rack. The material will cover the learning from the ORv2 Power supply and BBU design as well as the new features being enabled with the next generation product. In addition, Facebook's approach on some applications and functions such Power Loss Siren and peak power shaving, leveraging BBUs will be discussed.
