Currently there is no standard way to export memory related training data from the firmware. Kernel and other monitoring software need to rely on platform specific drivers to get this data. In this presentation we propose a methodology for UEFI based and other Open Firmware to export training data for DDR4/DDR5 to higher layers of software. The proposed methodology addresses both PEI only architecture as well as complete UEFI stack. The proposal defines the content of ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) BIOS ACPI Data Table (BDAT) table.
